Never give up

Hetvi originates from Surat, a city located in the western region of Gujarat, India. Her mother tongue is Gujarati, and her name signifies an overflow of affection. At present, she is enrolled in Sheridan College's TESOL Plus program. One valuable life lesson that she has imbibed from her grandfather is to persist through difficulties. Hetvi's passion lies in crafting poetry, and she aspires to impart English education across diverse nations in the forthcoming years.

Where I am from

I am from the city of diamonds and its endless textile markets,

I am from the descendants of the blessed in the holy scriptures of Ramayana,

I am from the family where mothers break norms,

From the city which boasts its expertise in multi-cuisine and yet a morning without 'farsan' is incomplete,

I am the one who'd stare at a Rene Magritte or a Dali for hours or get lost in jumbled time frames of a Jeanette Winterson,

or sometimes just spill the emotions on an empty white canvas.

I am refusing to follow the ideas of the structured world expecting one to fit into the "you must" and "you mustn't"

I am from the land where 'Krishna and Sudama' are the epitome of friendship.
